The unique pHformula powerclay formula used in the M.E.L.A. resurfacing treatments is a powerful hyperpigmentation treatment designed to reduce the accumulation of epidermally located melanin. It effectively inhibits the enzymatic activity of tyrosinase, whilst stimulating epidermal differentiation and therefore accelerates epidermal cellular turnover causing the removal of already formed melanin pigment. Due to the innovative highly effective mode of action, significant visible results are obtained with minimal risk.

TCA TOUCH™ is a revolutionary skin treatment to treat skin disorders with intense stimulation and cell renewal, excellent skin tolerance and effectiveness.
The PH-DVC ™ complex in the skin resurfacing formulations of pHformula MD allows for maximum efficacy without the negative side effects normally seen with conventional peelings.
HOW DOES THE TCA TOUCH TREATMENT WORK :
This is a non aggressive and multifunctional treatment previously not achieved with TCA. Due to its unique ability to control the depth of penetration the pHformula TCA Touch™ was specifically formulated as an advanced anti-ageing resurfacing treatment to help correct typical signs of photo-ageing. The TCA Touch™ solution is massaged gently into the skin post cleansing and priming. Following a second application the skin is then soothed with pHformula post procedure cream and protected with UV Protect SPF 50.
WHAT CAN BE ACHIEVED :
An instant lifting effect with intense stimulation of cell renewal that immediately reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Magnesium and Arbutin provide skin lightening properties and prevent the formation of melanin.
AM I SUITABLE FOR THIS TREATMENT
Face, neck, décolleté and hands each respond brilliantly to this treatment.
Photo-ageing such as glycation causing medium to fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation and skin discolouration, acne prone skin and newly obtained scars are all suitable for treatment.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME
Immediately post treatment redness, tightness and warmth of the skin.
24 hours post treatment tightness and dryness, use of homecare kit supplied with treatment alleviates this. 48-60 hours later flaking or mild shedding with some dryness, use of homecare kit supplied with treatment alleviates this. The tightening process will continue as part of the desired outcome of the treatment.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED
One to three treatments spaced four weeks apart is the recommended protocol depending on the outcome desired.
On review further treatments may be recommended if appropriate.
POST TREATMENT ADVICE
PHFORMULA homecare can be used to enhance the overall results and assist in post-treatment healing. A daily SPF is essential to assist in the success of this treatment and protect the skin from UV radiation and prevent further photo-ageing.

The use of the pHformula U.V. protect SPF 30+ or SPF 50+ is essential to protect the skin from UV radiation. Please note that it is recommended that extended sun exposure must be avoided, especially in the 10 days prior to the treatment.
